Very well-controlled and great music!
This was a fun diversion and it was a nice way to kill a few minutes. I freaked out when I got to the flicker effect in kevel 13 but it sure made me stay on my toes -- after I got killed.

Solid innovation and great fun
I played a previous game of yours and liked it a lot, but this was just over the top! The game mechanics are hella fun and all tie into each other. I like the heal option, it makes long battles that much more fun to horse around in. I only made it to the first boss but what a first boss... the use of stark black and gray makes things like fire so much more vivid when they come into play. The music is solid too and keeps the momentum going. Your story writing is very well done, something that a few designers can't or won't deal with.
Amazing with amazing potential!
This is the most fun I've had on NG for a long time... and I've played a lot of fun games. I feel like a little kid again mucking around with a toy truck.
I wonder if maybe some users could contribute their own tutorials and have them featured in here... the instructions were okay to follow for the dump truck level after a few tries, but the part with the fixed joint could have been just a little clearer.
Also a feature to keep scrolling back over all the previous tips instead of just the last one would be a great help.
Otherwise it is an awesome, awesome game and you've made a powerful interface that is flexible, fun-oriented and easy to learn. A+!
Flawless programming, but come on...
If you want to know what the real problem is, it's people breeding like mad. If the world wasn't in such a mad rush to take care of all the babies that come squirming out of billions of mindless morons, maybe we'd be able to take a step back and do things right, from food preparation to medical care to quality manufacturing. But noooooo, the right to cram a woman's minivan full of as many individual trouser sprouts is of utmost importance. And we have wars over overextended resources. Well, so be it... but the world shouldn't come crying to Newgrounds users because all these lame people can't stop squatting and dropping more humans as afterthoughts after sex.
Otherwise, you did an excellent job with the minigames and making it an interactive experience. Never thought anyone would be able to make turning on the oven a minigame, but you did it. :D
I would pay for a save option for the campaign
It's grueling but fun as can be. The ways to improve your little standoff hut are well varied and it was fun watching Joe automatically flaming soldiers I used to have to click-click-click to kill.
One thing: gawd, it's annoying having to use an odd number of bullets with the first gun. :D But I guess it's a good strategic element, and it's not that expensive to get 8 bullets. So, wah. Otherwise it's awesome, but as the title says, these 37-year-old carpals would appreciate a chance to start where they left off earlier.
Does anyone else have to deal with a damage bug?
In the later levels I start out smoking. It wouldn't be bad to have to restart at level 6 every time, but it gets to be a nuisance starting out wounded.
Otherwise it's a very good improvement on the original game and I like the way you can use four evasive tricks every time to even the odds.
Brilliant!
You really managed to do less with more visually... and more with the music, which was very helpful for trying to concentrate. I liked the minimalist approach and the level difficulty curve was great. Bravo!
Tripped up on the dots too
A shame, otherwise it was a lot of fun and extremely well done.
This is totally blogworthy :D
I thought defense games would be all rehashes by now but this one throws some fresh meat on top of a tried and true framework. Very well done! I like how the awards affect future game performance. :D
Extremely fun except for the bug
I'm at level 49 now and I either need to start the game over or reload my save to be able to use the Power Gauntlet when I lose a round, because I can't use it if I have to retry more than once.
Don't bother sending messages if you're 10 or younger and were raised with the impression you can kill people you disagree with. Cheers.
